The Waxed Cotton Vest with Lining

Nice fit , cotton liner very comfortable and the proper level of warmth for chilly morning.

I was very impressed with the quality of materials and workmanship that went into making this vest. It fit perfectly, and I felt immediately comfortable, solid wearing it. I know this vest will serve me well for years and years to come.

I have the previous generation un-lined vest. I love this vest (I wear it nearly every day) with the exception that the arm holes were too tight (fixed this by cutting the seams open). This new version vest, with lining, has a number of issues that have caused me to return it for a refund: 1) Seams around the arm holes (lack thereof). Unlike their previous generation vest, this vest has no seams around the arm holes. This causes the waxed canvas to roll under and over the top of the inner lining. 2) Stitching. The stitching is not the same color as the vest, causing it to stand out. Not the look that appeals to me. 3) Label. A bright label is snugly sewn into the front of the vest. I'm not sure that I could remove this label without destroying the stitching. Like the off color seam stitching, this label is too loud for my taste. I want to like this vest, but it is a bit disappointment. ~~ Sorry to hear the vest wasn't what you expected. The lined and unlined vests do have slightly different construction. The unlined vest is hemmed around the all edges to keep the fabric from fraying, but the lined one doesn't need the extra hem because the edges of the waxed cotton and flannel are sewn together then turned right-side-out to create a clean edge - raw edges are on the inside. I first purchased a wool version of this vest that I wear throughout the winter and it is stylish and offers a layer of warmth. The waxed cotton version is also wonderful. I love the waxed version of this vest and will wear throughout the summer to make a style statement. My wife thinks I buy too many goods from Kromer but the fact is I love everything about this company. And I look fabulous...

Absolutely love the vest. During the week, it’s simply used as a wind break/extra layer but it sees it’s fair share of work on the weekends. Currently owned this vest for 6 months and it’s held up great and has exceeded my expectations of quality. The only issue I’ve had and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is I’ve had to reattach one button twice and another once. A very minor issue that’s easily fixed. Otherwise, it’s held up well to a pure lack of care. I suppose another issue is that putting a phone in one of the chest pockets is asking to have your phone fall out of the pocket but that’s not what those pockets are for. From handling the heat of a burning brush pile to building a barn and anything else in between, the wax has held up well. I’d buy another but I don’t think I’ll need to any time soon.

You got it right ! The only way to improve it, would be to put a loop on the collar for hanging the vest up, and more divisions in the pencil pocket. I use this vest in a cabinet / furniture shop .

I ordered a vest and a hat and heard good things about the Company and its products. But unfortunately it hasn't arrived. On check out it only had one option to use USPS . They are unreliable and lazy.I order from LlBean ,Filson and others and they always arrive earlier than promised. USPS uses COVID for an excuse. If the customer is paying for shipping which i am i should have a choice. The first package sat for 7 days and didn't move! I hope I receive them. ~~ Sorry to hear your shipment to Canada is taking longer than expected - looks like it has been processed through the Chicago international distribution center of the USPS and is on it's way. With the addition of the lining, the item is too tight under the arms: I wound up returning it. It would fit OK over a tee, but that's not really the use case. I have the unlined model, in the same size, the fit there is fine. ~~ Sorry to hear the vest doesn't fit as expected. I will give your comments to our design team. SK ~~
