The Waxed Cotton Vest with Lining

This was given for a gift, and the vest looked so impressive in the box. Believe it will be worn many times as an alternative to a coat.

The waxed canvas vest has become my go to everyday vest during the fall and winter. Order it large enough to fit over your flannel shirts. It is not bulky, cuts the wind and mist plus looks good.

This is a great vest, appears to be well constructed. I wanted a work vest but the buttons seem to be a problem, the bottom one already came off in just a week (right after pulling on a loose thread so partly my fault). I am going to use this one for more casual wear. I love that it is not bulky yet provides warmth. I look forward to wearing this a long time even though not as I originally intended. I wear two Stormy Kromer wool vests all winter and bought this one for when it is not cold enough for wool but a vest is still needed. It is fantastic.

The weather has changed to the warm season here in the South where I live and I have not had much opportunity to wear this vest. I would say that the quality out of the box appears to be good, but I have rugged usage plans for this vest next fall season, so I will reserve judgement until then.

A LITTLE STIFF; NEEDS BREAK IN PERIOD

I was looking for something wear while walking when it is chilly not cold. This vest and a sweatshirt are great for what I needed; 30 to 45 degrees. I am sure a year from now after lots of wear it will be perfect. Right now, it is still a bit stiff with only a couple weeks of use. I am pleased in Fenton.

No construction work. Just casual daily wear. My wife gave me the waved cotton vest Xmas of 2021. I wore it for 2/3 of 2021. First the button hole threads started coming out. [Customer Service Representative] in CS told me there wasn't much that could be done. Apparently repairs are difficult. I even offered to pay. Now the seams on the right hand pocket are coming undone. About an inch and a half and creeping towards the bottom. I wanted to support a USA company. I've bought two hats and was looking at shirts and other vests. But for the money, it's not worth it. And I don't mind spending the money.... but not for poor quality. It's not like I use the pockets every day.... this is a real bummer. I really wanted SK to be my go to for quality USA items. Back to their competition I guess. I'd say don't buy this vest.
