The Snowdrift Cap

I love the comfort and warmth of the part of the hat that covers my head. This is obviously a very well made, quality hat. However, the ear flaps don't do the job at all. They let a lot of cold air in around the front of my ears. I can tighten them down with the shoelace tie, but then it chokes my neck. It's very uncomfortable. I may try and sew a different type of tie on - something thicker and softer. To get the earflaps to be effective in blocking cold and wind, I have to tie it tight. It is not too large for me. It is snug enough it leaves a mark on my forehead. But the earflaps still bow out. I'm disappointed. I have other SK styles with the pull down earband that I love, but it only covers the tops of my ears and doesn't help with wind/cold. So I was really hoping this one would do the trick.

It fits well and seems to be very warm.

The quality of materials and workmanship are top notch. Speaks highly of the Made in the USA on the label. The fit was good and true to size. The only thing that makes this hat slightly less than ideal is the tendency for the front edge of the ear flaps to leave a gap along the side of my wife's face where cold wind can enter.

Kept up to date about order, good delivery time, best of all is it fits and she likes it!

The fit is a little roomier than the same model last year. Sizing has been a bit unpredictable with the seven Stormy Kromers I have. But I love them all!

I have wanted a Stormy Kromer for years and when I saw this one, I knew it was what I wanted. Quality is great and exactly as pictured!

I have the women’s snowdrift hat. It is made extremely well and doesn’t blow off in high winds. I love this hat during Michigan’s brutal winters.
