The SK Dog Jacket Soft Shell

Bought this jacket for my labrador retriever last year. Love the idea of the coat, but the velcro is the worst! It has a 2x2.25 inch piece of velcro that's supposed to keep the coat on the dog. It barely sticks now. I will have to try to sew on another piece of velcro in order for it to work for another winter season. It's too bad because the coat itself is still in great condion! Other coats that I have purchased for my dog have much longer pieces of velcro on them and they continue to work great! I have two of these in the hunter orange color for when I take my dog hunting... but I have had to mend both of those vests on the edges when the dogs go thru the briars. But, other than the mending, I love the color and the fit on the dogs.

This is the best dog jacket I've found and I highly recommend it. Both of my dogs have this in orange and we couldn't be happier with the selection. The orange is visible at a distance and the reflective strip is a plus for early morning/dark evening light. The fit is generous but if you are in doubt, order up. I've got the large size for my 50 lb oversized Sheltie (stocky build) and a medium for my 45 lb spaniel mix (tall slim/long build). I wish SK would add a size range between large and medium for a little extra length. My spaniel is in and out of the bush and the jacket is holding up to the rough conditions beautifully. Excellent customer service as well.

Goes on super easy. Good fit and keeps pup dry ~ safe too !!!

Love it, the dog does too. way more comfy than what she was using. Fits her great, washes up easy, and doesn't grab cockleburs. Two thumbs up!

I am very happy with this dog coat. It is well-made and fits very nicely. We have looked at many coats, and they are mostly over-complicated, bulky, or ill-fitting. This has a simple belly strap and chest strap, both with adjustable velcro. It gives her a good range of motion and doesn't ride up anywhere. The orange is bright enough for hunting season but not a full blaze-orange color. (which I appreciate). The inner lining is soft fleece. It has a nice tailored-looking fit. I was initally planning on returning this because it was a duplicate purchase (my mistake), but we'll be keeping it now that I've seen it in real life.
