After staring at Stormy Kromer hats online for years, I finally picked one up in a mountain shop in the Adirondacks - an Adirondack plaid, and on my 60th birthday to boot. I spend a lot of time outdoors and the winter means wool, wool, wool for me. I have a small, reliable collection of fine wool winter hats, but none with a bill, which comes in pretty handy in snow and rain if you have glasses like me. I'm just in from a two-hour dog walk: it's 20 degrees, with 20 mph wind gusting to 31 mph, according to the NWS. I must report that this is one fine hat! It stopped the wind and kept my bald noggin and ears toasty. Thanks for your continued commitment to U.S. manufacturing (it's worth every dime) and to making this beauty in the state of my birth. Next stop for me: a pair of SK chopper mittens, from The Mitten!
