Coat runs very large, a whole size off. Either size correctly or offer a small. Could definitely use a lining mainly in the sleeves. Lower side pockets are poorly positioned to put your hands in, they are too far back. Could be a great jacket... needs some changes. ~~Thank you for your honest review and suggestions. Our coat is generously cut - easier to layer underneath. We will get this to our design team to review. SK ~~
Love my new Mackinaw Coat! The fit is perfect with XXLT and I have been getting many compliments. It is also very warm and keeps the wind away. Very happy purchase.
I received the mackinaw coat Jan. 14, 2022, and I have been wearing it out for walks in temperatures ranging from 12 to 25 degrees F. With under layers of flannel shirt and sweater, I felt pretty comfortable. The coat is well made with tightly sewn seams and buttons. The 26 oz wool is very nice and overall quality is very good. My only recommendations would be to add a liner and hood, but other than that, I'm very satisfied with the coat. I'm 6 ft , 190 lbs and I ordered a large that fits great!
My coat is red, purchased at the Peninsula Shop in Berkley, MI
I picked up these two items and told the kids, "Grandpa's going old school". I look like I stepped out of the pages of a 1956 edition of Field & Stream. I even asked the wife if she had and trees that needed chopping or critters to be trapped. Overall, this gear is well worth the money as it is superbly constructed and very warm down into the 20's. Below that, the parka comes out
The Mackinaw Coat is very well made and very warm. I can only suggest that a lining of rayon would make it much easier to get on and off over winter sweater.
This jacket has quite a baggy fit in my opinion, especially for a medium. While it does allow plenty of room for layering, there are times that the extra bulk just isn’t needed, even in Alaska. Surprisingly it still drapes nicely with all that space but it looks oversized on me. I immediately went online to see if they have a small in stock but apparently SK doesn’t even make that size. Oh well. Some things just aren’t meant to be. ~~ Sorry the jacket didn't fit like you expected. We are pretty generous on fit so things can be layered underneath. Thank you for sharing your honest review. SK ~~
I saw some comments on this coat not being warm enough, or in need of a liner. I disagree. It is an excellent coat that is quite comfortable. If extra warmth is needed I would suggest the 6 button vest underneath. I love all my Kromer products. Keep up the great work SK
