Love look and feel of coat. Have not worn in weather below 30-35 degrees...... not sure how it will do in cold zero degree or lower temps with wind. Pockets just seem not in the "right" place to naturally put hands into opening seems to be just a bit to far back. Would like to see wool thicker and heavier.

Wanted to love this coat, but I found a few problems. I bought a XL (6'0" and 215) the arm holes are somewhat tight and if I try to wear a wool sweater, the bulkiness is not comfortable through the underarms and shoulders. Also the only pockets useful to me are the two button pockets. The slash pockets behind the button pockets are very shallow and one could not trust that one's keys or anything else wouldn't fall out. In order to use the chest pockets one needs to have crocodile arms. These pockets are also shallow and at an awkward angle. Having said all of that, since the jacket is 100% wool, it is warm. This jacket would be a 5 plus star if, in my opinion it had an inside pocket, or maybe a liner. For what it is, the price point is a bit high. I bought it because I like to support U.S. made products and workers. I have as button down vest and a jacket also and they are good, but not home runs. My wife loves her vest, mittens and jacket but she's built better than I am.

The only reason I gave this jacket and vest 4 stars was because the pockets could be designed better and there are no interior chest pockets. I am a 30 year customer of C.C. Filson. The wool in this jacket is every bit the quality of Filson's wool. The stitching and fit are excellent, and for the price of the Filson, I got coat AND the matching vest! Deal. Customer service was top notch. Delivery was prompt, and they are sending me some material so I can sew my own interior vest pockets. The Mackinaw will be with me for the rest of my days. Thank you, Stormy. Go Uppers! BTW, they're called pasties. The kind for eating, not wearing. (Upper joke).

Beautiful product. Great quality. Perfect for layering. Fits beautifully. Very happy with it. Cut bigger than a comparably sized Filson, which I like. I like extra room and versatility in terms of layering. Well done.

Best purchase yet!! I always wanted a real wool Mackinaw coat, but didn't want to pay big money for a coat made over seas. American made and Michigan made!! Not to heavy or bulky, plenty of room for a vest underneath for layering. This coat will take me from fall, winter and into the spring . I'm 6'2 and 230# and it fits perfectly. Make one in camo and I'll buy one for deer season!! I look forward to a lot of years with this coat. Another great item in my growing SK collection.

I love the look of the coat. I ordered an extra large and it’s fits very well. I am 5’10” 220 lbs with a 50” chest and 36” waist. I just recently got it and have only worn it a few times. I received compliments each time. I have no doubt it will last a long time as it is very well made. I highly recommend it.

Great coat, just what I expected. I love the collar turned up. The sleeves are a touch long but I expected that. I leave the cuffs unbuttoned and I can tuck my gloves up inside the sleeves. I bought a 2XL because I wanted to make sure the neck was big enough. It is almost perfect but is perfect for a SK neck warmer or scarf. Keep up the great American made work.

absolutely my favorite wool jacket. American made quality the large collar is a good send when the wind, snow or rain are blowing extremely well designed. jacket. looks are exceptional too, from working outdoors, bow hunting and then to events the jacket is great for all. I have a wool addiction, this is in the top of my list and go to jacket. have old school woolrich, Bean , Asbell and SRW l. just the other day i paired this jacket with a flannel shirt and wool arena vest with the temp here in PA at -4 and windchill of -25 i was comfortable. again the collar is the best design out there for the elements. plan on getting the rest of the colors it comes in.
