I was looking to purchase a Mackinaw coat and shopped around. I remembered the Stormy Kromer cap that I purchased years ago and love it. I live in Canada and was hesitant with the purchase since shipping and customs charges would be on top of the purchase price. I got in touch with customer support and Penny assisted me. I have been wanting a Mackinaw jacket for ages. I was looking at the model from out west but I really didn't want to spend that much. I ordered this and when received, I am extremely pleased. I am still on the fence on size, I am 6 foot 1 and just might return for the extra large. I am going to experiment the next couple days with the layers I would wear underneath to make sure. However having said that the fit and finish of this jacket is impeccable . The color of the wool is absolutely beautiful. It was lighter than I expected but when holding the wool fabric up to the light it seems very very tight. Now mind you it's 90 degrees out currently here so I won't get a true idea for several months, but I am so happy with the fit and finish, I have no doubt it will exceed my expectations. I have watched so many videos online about this company and I am extremely proud to help support an American company. I hope one day to visit. I also have a clock from a very prominent Michigan company so I am excited to visit the state. Congratulations to you and your team for continuing the legend. I feel like I am part of a family. I haven’t been able to wear it because I returned it for a smaller size and haven’t gotten it back yet, but the quality was top shelf.
This thing fits perfectly, I'm 6'1" and 240 lbs and the xlt is fantastic. Well built, warm, it's everything I expected.

I love this jacket; I have 3 of them. I am 6'1" and 185 lbs. The large was too tight so I have the XL tall which is loose, but fine for layers. My only gripe is the 2 upper hand warmer pockets which seems to me wasted real estate. I really wish they were button pockets like you find in the Filson Mackinaw jacket. Nevertheless, this coat is superior in everyway: heavier wool with a tighter weave. Love it.
I love this jacket...however, I have tried every size from Large to XXL. I am 6'1'' and 180 pounds. Large was very tight and I finally settled on the XL Tall. It's a bit big for me, but I like loose fitting clothes and with a thin layer underneath I have worn this in below zero weather and was still warm and comfy. The weave is tight which helps with wind and snow. I will probably buy another in a couple of years. BTW, I wear the olive green and I get complements every time I wear it.
