Company received this hat on Jul 5th and on Jul 27th I still haven't received a hat or any correspondence . No, not true... I can wait. I live in Maine and have an antique “original” SK which is falling apart and doesn’t quite cover my ears with the flaps down. I ordered the Bergland hat for the ear coverage and because of some comments that the Rancher was too roomy up top. I did not want the Rancher to drop down too low on my head and overlap the tops of my ears (when the flaps are up). So, now I have the Bergland hat. It fits well, it does not come down too low with the ear flaps up and, with the ear flaps down, the ear coverage is great.
Excellent quality and construction. Beautiful fabric and color. Too darn small for a large. I have to return it.
Glad I read the comments. I sized up and it fits great. As a native Minnesotan, I’m confused by people saying it isn’t warm enough. It’s flannel and wool, so not sure how much warmer you can get. Great quality and looks great. Would definitely purchase again.
I love ear flap caps, and this one is the best I have ever had, both in quality and style. Beware that they run very snug. I measure for a medium but I am comfortable in the large. Also, with flaps up, this is a low volume cap, similar to military caps.

I really like mine; bought it a couple of years ago, and enjoyed it for one winter. However, I stored it away for the summer, and can't recall where I put it. I really miss it, as the cold winds are blowing again.
So first I ordered The Original Stormy Kromer cap and loved it. Next I ordered The Bergland cap. Loved it but needed the next size larger. I returned it and was sent the larger size, perfect! Everything about Both caps is Perfect. Excellent customer service. Both caps fit very well, are functional and very warm. The Customer service and attention to detail with my order was Outstanding. This is a real beauty. I’ve always had the traditional Kromers, and this one is maybe even better. Great for whe it’s cold out and the flaps easily flip down. Best hat when it snowing and I’m walking dogs. Made in USA.
