We’re proud to be headquartered in Ironwood, the western gateway to Michigan, nestled in the Upper Peninsula. The UP is quirky, friendly and beautiful, with miles of pristine forest, apple-pie small towns, and some of the most innovative, hardest working people you’ll ever meet.

Ironwood, Michigan is the kind of place where your neighbor will shovel your driveway without asking. It’s a place brimming with hometown pride. From beaches, bike trails and breweries to skiing, shopping and snowmobiling, our community is full of opportunity and adventure.

Our family members invest in our community by leading and serving on local boards of entities like the Ironwood Economic Development Corporation, Gogebic Community College, and Copper Peak. We also provide financial support to organizations like Emberlight Arts Festival, H.O.P.E. Animal Shelter, Domestic Violence Escape (DOVE, Inc.), the Historic Ironwood Theatre, SISU Ski Fest, and others.

We have a history of partnering with organizations that offer training and employment to traditionally marginalized people. We have worked with the Highline Corporation to teach people with disabilities about all aspects of employment, from job skills to workplace behavior. And we are grateful for the people of St. Luke’s N.E.W. Life Center in Flint, Michigan, a non-profit that provides life skills, education, and workplace training. The workers in their industrial sewing center produce several of our popular apparel items.

Our community is rich in sisu, a Finnish concept often described as grit, stamina, and tenacity. It’s about finishing what you start, without complaint. It means taking on a task that others might see as hopeless. Maybe it’s the feet of snow we get each year, or the legacy of the tough settlers who came before us, but people from the UP are full of sisu.

We’re humbled to be an essential part of our town’s history, and a driver of its future.
